Co-existing with nature
Human activities are degrading landscapes, resulting in the loss of some species and threatening all nature, including humans. Adapting human processes which negatively impact species rich landscapes is how The Nature Recovery Project plan to mitigate both the loss of biodiversity and the overall climate crisis. We seek land owners who share our vision to save the planet by reintroducing natural processes and restoring habitats.
We have a vision of Bedfordshire as the greenest county in the UK. As part of realising this vision, we are restoring habitats across 430 acres at 5 different sites and we’re still growing.
This growth comes not just from our broad spectrum, complimentary planting of 300,000 trees in open spaces, but also the partnerships we continue to develop with local organisations and communities.
Our partnership with The Forest of Marston Vale allows us to benefit from both the expertise of an established community forest and a beacon for change in the Bedfordshire community. This partnership extends from the planting of trees across TNRP owned land, through to community and business engagement, including free tree planting days. Examples of businesses and the local community engagement to date include tree planting days with Renhold Primary School and London Luton Airport.
The Nature Recovery Project actively seek Bedfordshire landowners, businesses, schools and community projects which would like to engage in driving us toward becoming the greenest county in the UK.
