At The Nature Recovery Project (TNRP), we are excited to share our latest biodiversity milestone: The release of our "Biodiversity Gain 2022-2024" report, a powerful reflection of what determined, land-based action can achieve across the UK.
Over the last two years, we have worked across landscapes to breathe life back into forgotten spaces. With our partners, communities, and dedicated team, we have planted 300,000 trees, created micro ponds, and regenerated soils rich in microbial life. We have witnessed firsthand how quickly nature begins to recover when given the right support.
We've seen the difference our efforts can make. From rising soil health, increased fungal and microbial diversity, to the return of rare species like glow-worms, English partridges, and great crested newts. Our sites are buzzing, singing, and glowing again.
300,000 trees planted to enhance carbon storage and restore wildlife corridors
10 micro ponds built to support amphibians, insects, and freshwater species
Soil revitalisation, with measurable increases in nematodes, fungi, and carbon-rich matter
Rare species returning to our landscapes a clear sign of ecological success
Every one of these serves as a reminder of the benefits of restoration and how much more is possible.
